Eden Vets is expanding – First Opinion Veterinary Surgeon, Cheshire

Salary: £40– £60K dependent on experience

Eden Vets is expanding and we’re now looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join our established and stable first opinion team. This could be your chance to join an independent veterinary practice led by a team of vets who are passionate about the patients they treat and the team they work with.

Here’s what Lucy, one of our vets, thinks about her experience at Eden so far…

“I joined the Eden Vets Team two years ago and have loved it from day one! I found everyone warm, welcoming, and fun to work with. There is a growth mindset amongst the team, where many love to learn with, and from, each other. There is a varied case load to get involved with and I’ve been fully supported when needed, including out of hours. The extensive facilities available and the experience of the team has meant I can work up cases further than I’ve been able to before. I’m excited for what’s to come from working here in the future!”

JUNIOR VET OPPORTUNITIES
Due to our existing team’s size and experience we are now able to consider a junior veterinary surgeon and the support that entails. Our ideal candidate will have at least one years’ experience and be a competent small animal general practitioner, with the ability to manage the variety that a first opinion caseload brings. We are looking for someone with the drive, enthusiasm, and clinical skills to maintain high standards of care and support other team members in doing the same.

ABOUT EDEN VETS
Eden Vets is located on the outskirts of Crewe, and since opening in October 2020, we have gone from strength to strength. We have two sites: the main hospital in Shavington and a newly opened branch practice in Sandbach. The practice boasts modern and spacious facilities and is fully equipped with on-site CT, digital radiography (including dental), ultrasound, endoscopy, arthroscopy, comprehensive lab machines and extensive surgical kit.  We are proud of our ISFM Gold standard feline practice award and offer dedicated feline friendly clinics. We are lucky enough to boast on-site 24hr nursing care and are proud to offer our own emergency service, as we feel it offers the best care and continuity to our clients and their pets. You will also have the benefit of working alongside our referral team of five advanced practitioner vets and an extensive team of day and night RVN’s, many of which have gained further qualifications.

THE POSITION
This position is ideally for a full-time applicant, however part-time would be considered. A full-time role consists of four days a week shared between the main hospital and the branch practice, with an equal share in our out of hours rota (1:6) with generous TOIL. You will be joining a fiercely progressive practice with a team that is highly valued. CPD is actively encouraged and generously funded. Health plans and subscription benefits are included along with quarterly organised social events with the rest of the team.

If you are excited by the opportunity to be involved with an expanding practice whilst also benefiting from the assurance and support of in-house leadership and expertise, then look no further!
